Recently I read an article on http://www.sportsnetworker.com titled, “AAA Baseball: The Dog Days of Summer,” written by Mike Rude.
Although this article is focusing on Major League Baseball, it brought up a good point; taking ourselves to seriously. Sure maybe what we do is very serious like selling life insurance or real estate and for these professions it’s important to be serious. However sometimes it is good to bring a little fun to the job as well.
For instance, participating in community events like a parade or the community 4th of July celebration will directly involve you with the people and show that you care about the community. Getting out of the business setting and into a fun setting will show the personal side of your profession and can begin the process of building a trust with potential clients.
